Mortal Kombat 11 has just been datamined once again to reveal Halloween-themed gubbins for some of the characters. There's more in the Easter egg: the Terminator's "datamine" also mentiones Friendship, Babality, Animality and Harakiri, none of which are in the game. The original datamine uncovered mention of Ash Williams, Fujin and Sheeva. Maybe not! NetherRealm chief Ed Boon is infamous for being a bit of a troll himself, and his tweets are a tiresome exercise in deciphering misdirection. The Terminator outro acknowledges the dataminers' good work with the exact same coding and text.ĭoes this little troll rule out the likes of Mileena and Rain? Maybe.

And, let's be honest, Mokap would break the game. While fans have called for the likes of Mileena and Rain to be added as playable characters, no-one wants Meat, one of the series' most obscure characters. This obvious troll mentions six characters: Mileena, Rain, Li Mei, Sareena, Meat and Mokap. This video doesn't show it, but leave the outro running and Terminator will perform a "datamine" that reveals the Kombat Pack 2 characters. Be mindful when sharing personal information, including your religious or political views, health, racial background, country of origin, sexual identity and/or. The video, below, shows The Terminator's outro in which you get a first-person view in the iconic red scan style of the T-800. Now, NetherRealm has trolled the Mortal Kombat 11 dataminers by adding a "Kombat Pack 2" Easter egg in one of The Terminator's outros. Dataminers uncovered mention of DLC characters before Mortal Kombat 11 even came out. I used a picture of Gong Li as a reference for her facial features. Hopefully I'll be able to finish it in the future. While Im not psychic Im going to assume MK 12 will happen and that the roster will be 24 characters for the base and presumably 12 to 18 DlC characters for. That explosive leak revealed Shang Tsung, Joker, Nightwolf, Terminator, Sindel and Spawn, all of whom were subsequently confirmed by the developers. Ashrah MK1 - WIP - I really wanted to fully redesign her but I don't have time cause of my final exams. She went through the portal and is transported to Outworld where she later discovered a way to restore her human form without Quan Chi's magic by absorbing the energy of the realm. As such, there is a surprising number of characters that were constantly pointed to as leaked fighters, but never materialized for one reason or another.NetherRealm has had some fun with Mortal Kombat 11 community, trolling dataminers who leaked the identity of DLC characters.ĭataminers leaked the entire set of DLC characters included in Kombat Pack 1 before Mortal Kombat 11's official release date in April. After years of being trapped, Sareena discovered the portal Quan Chi and Scorpion used to escape the Netherealm shortly before Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance. A Kombat Pack 3 was supposedly in the works at one point, but was either cancelled or never got off the ground. If choice leaks are true, then at some point, NetherRealm and WB Games felt the same way. The roster also feels pretty much complete, though any fan would tell you that it felt like there could be more fighters. It's also generally agreed upon that Mortal Kombat 11 has been left in a fairly good state, with plenty of custom variation options for players to experiment with and a good balance present throughout the cast. Whatever one's hopes or opinions are on NetherRealm's murky future, there's no denying that it's an exciting prospect. Another school of thought is just interested to see a standalone Marvel game from Netherrealm, and there are some fans who just want NetherRealm to be let loose to do it's own thing. The thought of Marvel heroes fighting the Earthrealm defenders is very enticing to some, while others are hoping for the Avengers to throw down with the Justice League. Fans who are ready to move on are already anticipating the next game, which rumor has it may have something to do with Marvel properties. The game has received its expected two years of support, and NetherRealm Studios has officially announced that it is moving on to its next project. After a strong two years of tournaments and updates, the blood-stained curtain has finally closed on Mortal Kombat 11. Mortal Kombat has a lot of interesting (and strange) characters, but there are plenty of cool, underused fighters that deserve a return in MK12.
